Hotham Valley Tourist Railway Inc., which operates a heritage railway in Western Australia, has its origins in a small group of enthusiasts who met together in 1974 with the object of preserving steam locomotives and the railway line from Pinjarra to Dwellingup. Today, Hotham Valley’s operations are based around their facilities at Dwellingup and Pinjarra, along with the line East from Dwellingup to Etmilyn. From its early beginnings, the organization ran a number of trains across the Westrail narrow gauge network, which is now leased to WestNet Rail. This included tour trains to such destinations as Albany, Bridgetown, Northam, Geraldton or York.
